Frankonia Toys MailBox Series American Airlines DC-7

Description

Original owner selling American Airlines DC-7 die-cast metal airliner model made in Hong Kong about 1972 by Frankonia Toys under the series marketed as "MailBox", which included several other airliners in a variety of airline markings.   Complete, undamaged. Propellers and engine cowls are plastic; everything else is metal. Markings are stickers.  No repairs/repainting ever done.   Has been stored indoors under temperature control since new.  Never used outdoors.  Never displayed.  Almost never handled.   In original box with base HALF of a display stand.  Model's balance is poor and tends to try to sit on its' tail.  Metal wheels rotate.  Examine photos CAREFULLY.
