Great, very rare ticket stub from the first
ROLLING STONES
Philly show
-May 1st, 1965 at the Convention Hall in Philadelphia.
The Stones were the headliner at this show but a
lso appearing were Herman's Hermits and Anthony and the Imperials.  Not only was this the first Stones appearance in Philly, but they got in a fight with the Hermits over who would close the show (!!) and the band ended up in jail!  Local DJ Hy Lit organized this show as a charity concert at the Convention Center.
This is a great find and not many of these are left. Very good condition.  This is an original 56 year old concert ticket stub with a paper clip indentation (see pic 2).  No writing or tape marks.  It's ripped in the the typical spot for a ticket but otherwise firm stock with no pin holes.  This would be great for any vintage Stones collector or someone who collects Philadelphia concert stubs.  Google the Philadelphia Inquirer article  from 5/1/2015 to read about this legendary show.
