    Description

    This is a pair of two authentic original (printed BEFORE the concert) handbills, both doing double duty as a radio station weekly surveys, that advertise
    SIMON & GARFUNKEL,
    not listed but also on the bill were: The Young Rascals, Eric Burdon and The Animals, Yellow Payges
    appearing on August 23, 1968 at the famous Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California.
    L.A radio station KHJ promoted this historic show and in addition to promoting it on the radio station also promoted it on two successive weekly record chart surveys.  The first handbill measures
    3 1/4 x 5 7/8 closed and opens to 6 1/2 x 5 7/8 inches and is in Near Mint Minus condition with a vertical fold, as distributed, and very minor handling.  The second handbill is from the previous week and is unfolded - rare in this state!  Please see photos for accurate image report.

    An interesting not is that Al Kooper sat at the soundboard and recorded this show for future release.  The show has been released on bootleg and can easily be found on line but was never officially released because Paul kept lightly banging his guitar into the microphone stand and their then recent album BOOKENDS was already doing so well that they thought releasing this was not necessary.
